“Education is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom.”

Oprah Winfrey

Why?

Every child in Zimbabwe deserves access to quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic status or abilities. At Pachipamwe, we believe that education is a fundamental right, and we are committed to making it a reality for as many students as possible.

Unfortunately, the current investment in education by the government of Zimbabwe falls short of the global standard set by UNICEF, which calls for a minimum investment of 20%. It's time to prioritize our children's futures and invest in their education.

Our students are faced with countless barriers that hinder their chances of success. These obstacles only reinforce the urgent need for our resources and contributions. Now more than ever, we must take action to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

Education has the power to:

Reduce Child Mortality

UNICEF reports that education has a direct impact on child survival rates. Children born to mothers who have completed primary education are twice as likely to survive past the age of five compared to those whose mothers have no education.

Improve Gender Equality

The World Economic Forum reports that education is one of the most important factors in promoting gender equality. In countries with high levels of gender inequality, investing in education can help improve women's economic and social status.

Reduce Poverty

According to the World Bank, every year of schooling increases an individual's earning potential by 10%. This means that education can help individuals escape poverty and create better economic opportunities for themselves and their families.

Want to get involved?

Creating access to education is one of the most impactful ways to help break the cycle of poverty and build a better future. In Zimbabwe, many young girls and boys in rural areas face significant barriers to education due to low income, marginalization, and other factors. As a result, the need for support is critical.
